Olga Alexandria Zhak, of Santa Fe, New Mexico and long time resident of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on February 25, 2018.

Olga Zhak, 69 was an adventurous spirit from the start! Creative, wise and curious as her cat - she left her Ukrainian homeland in her early twenties with children Tatiana and Roman. The young family started their new life in Washington, D.C. and later lived in New York City, before settling in Minneapolis. Olga moved to Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina in 2001, where she has many friends as was her custom. In her final year of life here in Santa Fe, she had already made more than her share! Olga is preceded in death by her son and her parents. Tatiana Jacques and Carlos Vasquez live here now with their sons Cruz Jacques and Clio Alexi. Her life’s work was fashion design and the many creations which she crafted for business, pleasure and family. Olga’s other passion was cooking and creating natural remedies, her joy with food was a source of happiness for all with whom she shared. Her heart was with her grandchildren and daughter, as it will forever remain.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 7th at 11am at Askew Funeral & Cremation Services 731 Roanoke Ave, Roanoke Rapids, NC

Reception will be held following the Service at the Martin residence, 801 Jackson St, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
